Splash Green

Spiritual beings,Acrylics on paper,64cm x 45cm.

Now this is incomprehensible-infinite,immeasurable,pure bliss etc. A sample of the magnificent world of the abstractions.

Splash Purple

Two old souls,Acrylics on paper,64cmx45cm.

Something out of the blue activated this one.It resembles a couple of jellyfish in the deep ocean, flowing in perfect harmony with their tentacles intertwined in freedom.

The Travellers' Poem

Amongst the mighty herds
Upon the far savanna where big cats laze and streak
Amidst clouds of multicoloured butterflies
And colonies of strange and rare birds
Into the famed yet still mysterious Africa

An exciting adventure starts from the Airport
As unique spectacles of various wildlife await
Not to mention the underwater beauties of coral reef
And mile after mile of white sandy beaches fringed by waving palm trees
Into the famed yet still mysterious Africa

The vivacity and gaiety of the people is undeniable
In the verve and excitement of the traditional dances
To the modern hotels and picturesque restaurants
Then a visit to the markets where colours in combinations will tickle the artist in you
Into the famed yet still mysterious Africa

African sunset

I really enjoyed working on this painting because it's simple and relaxing to watch. The colours also came out nicely.

Savanna landscape

When one visits the interior to check on the wildlife, one encounters the beautiful landscape and vegetation. It is home to numerous creatures, some known and others unknown.

Wonders of the mind

Mystic gourd,Acrylics on paper,45cm x 32cm.

Pieces such as this one are hard to explain. They baffle the artist who created them.Talk of feelings from within.Reminds one of abstract expressionism but with an African touch.

Diversion Two

Untitled,Acrylics on paper,45cm x 32cm.

Ideas such as this, often pop up when am tired and want to unwind. They are like my release valves, taking away the pressure.

Traditional gourd

Gourd,Acrylics on canvas,24"x20".

My passion for painting gourds and pots came from my short two year stay upcountry. It's also because of my great grandmother. She was the village potter in her time.

Diversion

Spacewalk,Acrylics on paper,45cm x 32cm.

Some of this works don't have a specific explanation. The viewer should just enjoy the colours and shapes.

Abstracts of an escapist

Chaotic,Acrylics on paper,45cm x 32cm.

Usually I don't do abstract paintings but sometimes something interesting pops up in my mind and feel the need to do it.

My abstracts don't present any form of harmony whatsoever.I just use colour and wait for the end product.
